The KAST Roundtable Discussions series is designed to identify barriers to the development of science and technology, and to develop means of eliminating barriers, through discussions with experts from industries, academia, research institutes and political sector, which can aid in formulating a long-term vision and a new development strategy.

For the discussion, top management officers are invited from the science-and technology-related ministries of the government as keynote speakers and their comments are publicized through mass media.
